Peptides for Testosterone: Which Ones Actually Raise It
Most peptides sold to raise testosterone act on growth hormone and never touch it. Three act on the LH axis — and those have real human data.

There is a category error at the center of this topic, and clearing it up settles most of the question.
The peptides sold hardest to men who want more testosterone — sermorelin, ipamorelin, CJC-1295, the GHRPs — act on the growth hormone axis. They ask the pituitary to release growth hormone. Growth hormone and testosterone are different hormones, released by different mechanisms, doing different things. A growth-hormone secretagogue is not a testosterone product, and it is not marketed as one so much as sold next to one.
The peptides that genuinely move testosterone are a much smaller group, and they all work the same way: by acting on the luteinizing hormone signal that tells the testes to produce it. That group is kisspeptin, gonadorelin (a GnRH analog), and hCG. Those have real human data, and it is worth knowing what it does and does not show.
How the Axis Works, Briefly
The chain runs in one direction. The hypothalamus releases GnRH, which tells the pituitary to release luteinizing hormone, which tells the testes to make testosterone. Kisspeptin sits upstream of GnRH and is one of its key drivers.
Anything that raises testosterone through this route is working with your own production rather than replacing it — which is the entire appeal, because exogenous testosterone shuts the chain down from the top.
Everything else in the peptide catalog either enters the chain somewhere real or does not touch it at all. The GH secretagogues do not.

Kisspeptin — the One With New Controlled Data
Kisspeptin is the most interesting compound here because the human work is recent and it is properly designed.
A randomized study found that chronic subcutaneous kisspeptin-10 stimulated gonadotropin secretion for 12 days in healthy men1 — a sustained effect, which matters because a compound that works acutely and then stops being effective is a different proposition from one that holds. Separate work has examined how continuous kisspeptin infusion dynamically modulates LH secretion2, and how the reproductive axis's responsiveness to kisspeptin-10 changes with age3.
There is also evidence in a population with an actual problem: in men with type 2 diabetes and mild biochemical hypogonadism, kisspeptin-10 stimulated serum testosterone and LH secretion4. That is the shape of a real finding — a defined population, a measured hormone, a controlled administration.
The mechanism is further confirmed from the other direction, which is the sort of evidence that makes a pathway credible. Blocking the neighboring neurokinin-3 receptor decreased gonadotropin and testosterone secretion in healthy men5. Push the system and testosterone goes up; block it and testosterone goes down. That is a pathway doing what a pathway should.

hCG and Gonadorelin — the Clinically Established Route
hCG mimics luteinizing hormone directly, signaling the testes without going through the pituitary at all. It is the most established compound in this group and the one with an actual clinical role.
The role that matters most: exogenous testosterone suppresses the body's own signal and with it sperm production — the expected consequence rather than a rare side effect, as the review literature on testosterone replacement and spermatogenesis sets out6. Concomitant intramuscular hCG preserved spermatogenesis in men undergoing testosterone replacement therapy7. That is a specific, clinically actionable result and it is why hCG appears beside TRT rather than beside the research peptides.
Gonadorelin is a GnRH analog acting one step higher in the chain, and it shows up on the same menus for the same reason. What the GH Peptides Actually Do
To be fair to them: sermorelin, ipamorelin and CJC-1295 are not frauds. They do something — they raise growth hormone and IGF-1. The problem is only that this is a different hormone from the one you came for.
And the outcome evidence on that axis is weak on its own terms. A systematic review of growth hormone in healthy, athletic participants found increased lean body mass that the reviewers attributed largely to fluid retention, with no improvement in strength or exercise capacity and more adverse events8. So the GH route is neither a testosterone product nor a well-evidenced performance one.
If low testosterone is the actual issue, the honest options are a diagnosis and monitored treatment, not a peptide bought on a related-sounding mechanism. Worth noting how these products are actually sold: Hone Health's sermorelin page shows "$130/mo" when the real figure is $285 because the product requires a $155 membership, and fourteen states plus D.C. cannot buy it. ElitePhysiqMD prices sermorelin at $267.30 a month on a page advertising the category "from $161/mo". RxSpan MD publishes a genuine $179 month-to-month rate, which is what a straightforward version looks like.
What About Enclomiphene and the Other "Restart" Products?
Worth naming, because these sell alongside the peptides and get grouped with them, and two of the three are not peptides at all.
Enclomiphene and clomiphene are selective estrogen receptor modulators — small molecules, not peptides. They raise testosterone by blocking estrogen feedback at the pituitary, which is a fourth entry point into the same axis. Whatever their merits, they belong in a different chemical category from anything else on this page.
Gonadorelin is a genuine peptide and a genuine GnRH analog, which is why it appears on the axis diagram above.
The practical point is that "peptide" is doing no work in the marketing here. What "Optimizing" Testosterone Actually Requires
One more thing the product pages skip, and it is the part that decides whether any of this is a good idea.
Testosterone is a number you can measure, and measurement is what separates treatment from guessing. That means a baseline drawn correctly — testosterone is diurnal, so morning timing matters — repeated to confirm, with the pituitary hormones measured alongside it to establish whether a low reading comes from the testes or from the signal above them. That distinction is the whole diagnosis, and it determines which of the compounds on this page could even be relevant.
