The verdict

Noom offers a meaningful choice between medication-inclusive programs and care for separately purchased branded prescriptions. Both include its behavior-change program, coaching and ongoing clinical oversight. Those inclusions can matter if you want habit support alongside treatment, but the lowest first-supply price does not describe the recurring bill. Compare the selected program and its billing interval before enrolling. The branded route adds a prescription cost and may involve an insurer or cash payment; insurance does not cover the Noom program itself. Refund rules also differ by plan, with eligibility ending at a clinical visit or when a prescription is written. Program eligibility depends on medical history and state. Noom can suit someone who will use coaching and tracking consistently, provided the medication, supply schedule and total recurring payment are clear before purchase.

The commitment trap

First-supply prices expire. Medication-inclusive plans start with four weeks; branded care starts with a month. Quarterly renewal and a four-week supply are different measures, so confirm the exact charge date and supply covered.

Money you will meet later

  • The separate Proactive Health plan is $149 every four weeks, with a 15-week first term and 16-week renewals; four weeks is not a calendar month.
  • Metformin is a separate $69 introductory plan then $99/month billed quarterly; it is not the GLP-1 price.
  • Branded medication is additional and depends on prescription, coverage and fulfillment route.
  • Medication-inclusive refunds end once a prescription is written. Branded-care refunds may be available within seven days only if no clinical visit has occurred; renewal charges are nonrefundable.
  • Cancel before 11:59 p.m. Eastern on the day before renewal. Branded visits canceled or rescheduled less than 24 hours ahead may incur a fee; displayed prices exclude applicable taxes.
  • The conditional Taper Off guarantee provides a year of the nonclinical behavior program or equivalent credit, rather than a medication refund; it requires at least 12 months of medication-inclusive participation and specified engagement.
  • In the branded program, initial Quest/LabCorp labs are usually included; NY/NJ/RI, independent labs and mobile-draw fees can add out-of-pocket costs.

The pharmacy

Your assigned compounder is not named. Noom describes USP-compliant state-regulated partners, third-party batch testing and a COA available on request. For branded self-pay care it names CoAssist/CenterWell through NovoCare and Gifthealth through LillyDirect. These are Noom disclosures, not independent verification of an assigned facility.

Oversight

The branded plan uses refill check-ins and clinician review, with clinician chat for dose changes or medication concerns. A fixed scheduled-visit cadence is not published.

Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved products, and a 503A pharmacy compounds for a named patient while a 503B outsourcing facility manufactures in batches under CGMP. Neither is a quality guarantee on its own — a named facility is simply a fact you can check, and an unnamed “partner pharmacy network” is not. Does the $79 starting price continue?

No. In October 2026, Microdose was $79 for the first four-week supply, then $179/month billed quarterly. Standard was $129 then $249/month, and Plus $149 then $299/month, also quarterly. Branded care was separately $39 for month one then $129/month quarterly, with medication extra. A displayed monthly rate is not a monthly invoice; confirm the actual term charge, renewal date and supply covered.

Can I cancel before shipping and get a refund?

Medication-inclusive refunds end when a prescription is written, which can be before shipment. Initial branded-care refunds may apply within seven days only before a clinical visit; renewal charges are nonrefundable. Cancel before 11:59 p.m. Eastern the day before renewal. Branded visits changed less than 24 hours ahead may incur a fee, and applicable taxes can be additional.

Is the Taper Off guarantee a medication refund?

No. It requires at least 12 months of eligible medication-inclusive participation and specified engagement. The benefit is a year of nonclinical behavior-program access or equivalent credit, not a medication refund or a promise of weight loss. Confirm the conditions attached to your program before relying on it.

Are Proactive Health and metformin priced like the GLP-1 plans?

They are separate offers. Proactive Health was $149 every four weeks, with a 15-week first term, 16-week renewals and 17-biomarker home testing within Proactive Health. Metformin was $69 initially then $99/month billed quarterly. Neither price establishes GLP-1 charges, supply or lab coverage, and the different treatments should not be assumed to offer equivalent benefits.
