The verdict
MDExam offers a familiar combination of telemedicine, nutrition and exercise coaching, and prescribed medication, with a public $225 monthly starting price. That makes it easier to compare the entry point, but it is not a dose-by-dose medication quote: the FAQ separately lists a $50 consultation, and insurance can change the bill. Its monthly auto-ship arrangement also deserves attention before enrollment. The terms allow cancellation before pharmacy transmission; once an eligible prescription is written and sent, the charge cannot be reversed and medicine cannot be returned. The current About page names clinical staff, while the terms distinguish the technology platform from independent treating providers. Neither a team listing nor a badge identifies who will treat you or which pharmacy will fill the order. Ask for those details, the complete first and continuing payment, lab costs and the actual supply before subscribing. A published starting bundle is useful; it does not settle every part of ongoing care.

The commitment trap
Auto-ship continues until cancellation. The practical cutoff is before the prescription goes to the pharmacy, not simply before the package arrives or the next calendar month begins.
Money you will meet later
- The FAQ lists a $50 consultation and says it is fully refundable if treatment is not approved. Confirm whether it is collected separately from the advertised monthly bundle.
- Terms provide a full refund before medical-history review, or after review if you do not qualify. If you qualify and a prescription is written and transmitted to a pharmacy, the purchase is not refunded.
- Monthly recurring charges continue until you cancel through the patient portal or support. No universal advance-notice interval in days is published in the reviewed terms.
- Insurance acceptance is advertised, but coverage and prescription costs depend on the plan. Terms make the patient responsible for uncovered or denied expenses and do not guarantee reimbursement.
- Lab work, collection fees, medication quantity, shipping charges and supplies need an itemized answer. No published dose ladder or selected continuing invoice was established.

Pharmacy, labs and oversight
The pharmacy
The dispensing pharmacy is not named. Public pages describe mail-order fulfillment, without identifying the assigned facility or establishing whether a particular fill is prepared under 503A or 503B. Ask for its name and the exact formulation; compounded medicines are not FDA-approved.
Oversight
Coaching and clinician access are advertised included. Progress tracking and plan adjustments are described, but no fixed visit count, laboratory cadence or refill-review schedule is published in the reviewed offer.
Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved products, and a 503A pharmacy compounds for a named patient while a 503B outsourcing facility manufactures in batches under CGMP. Neither is a quality guarantee on its own — a named facility is simply a fact you can check, and an unnamed “partner pharmacy network” is not. Where you can get it
50-state telemedicine coverage is advertised. Confirm eligibility for the actual service, medication and your physical location; broad platform coverage is not a verified product-by-state map or an individual clinician assignment.
The honest cons
The part they would rather you skipped
The lowest published monthly amount leaves several purchase details open, and the refund cutoff arrives before medication shipment. Get the drug, quantity, dispenser, first payment and cancellation timing in writing before agreeing to recurring billing.

Is $225 the complete MDExam bill?
It is the advertised monthly starting bundle for care, coaching and medication. The FAQ separately lists a $50 consultation. Confirm the exact medicine, dose, quantity, first payment and renewal charge, plus any labs, delivery and supplies; the floor is not a selected prescription quote.
Does the program renew automatically?
Yes. The FAQ describes auto-ship and the terms authorize recurring monthly charges until you cancel. Contact support or use the patient portal before the prescription is sent to the pharmacy; no universal calendar-day notice period is published in the reviewed terms.
When is a refund available?
The terms allow a full refund before the medical team reviews your history, or after review when you do not qualify for treatment. If you qualify and the prescription is written and transmitted to a pharmacy, the purchase is not refunded and medication cannot be returned. The FAQ separately promises the consultation fee back if treatment is not approved.
Can insurance reduce my cost?
The FAQ advertises acceptance of major plans, but the actual coverage and medication cost depend on your policy. The terms make you responsible for uncovered or denied expenses and do not guarantee reimbursement. Request the cash and insured totals for your plan rather than assuming the published bundle is your copay.
Who will treat me, and which pharmacy is used?
The terms describe independent treating providers using the MDExam platform. The About page names clinical staff but does not assign one to you, and the public offer does not name the dispensing pharmacy. Confirm the actual practice, clinician and pharmacy for your location and prescription.
Are labs, follow-ups and delivery included?
Clinical access, coaching and medication are advertised in the bundle, but the lab panel, payer, fixed visit allowance, injection kit and shipping charges are not itemized. Delivery estimates differ between a business week and under two weeks. Ask what is included in your actual prescription and when processing and delivery begin.
