The verdict

MyStart Health offers a cash-pay GLP-1 program that bundles clinical care with medication, rather than charging a separate visit fee each time. Its starting price is useful for an initial comparison, but the public offer does not establish a drug-, dose- and quantity-specific invoice. The price-lock claim concerns the base plan and excludes first-time discounts. Automatic renewal also deserves attention: the medication supply and the billing period are different questions. The legal pages identify MyStart Health LLC as the platform while leaving the actual independent medical practice and dispensing pharmacy unnamed. Most importantly, the refund policy has competing prescription and fulfillment cutoffs, so cancellation should be confirmed before a charge or prescription progresses. FDA also issued MyStart its own September 2025 warning about misleading compounded-semaglutide equivalence claims. That history concerns advertising and does not establish contamination of an individual prescription. Consider the program only with clear written answers about the selected plan, dispenser and refund boundary.

The commitment trap

Plans renew automatically. The advertised base-plan price lock excludes first-time discounts, so an introductory payment does not establish the continuing rate.

Money you will meet later

  • The homepage describes a four-week or twelve-week medication supply depending on the plan. Monthly plans bill and ship monthly; three-month plans bill every three months and ship the supply together. The exact quarterly total is not established by the monthly floor.
  • The homepage says there is no separate membership fee, while the refund policy calls the bundle a membership charged regardless of prescribing. Obtain the selected agreement rather than assuming that wording removes recurring charges.
  • Ordinary health insurance is not accepted. HSA/FSA documentation is advertised, but reimbursement depends on the patient's plan.
  • The refund policy permits a full refund for medical ineligibility with no prescription or shipment, and describes cancellation before pharmacy fulfillment. It also lists a written prescription as nonrefundable. Ask which cutoff applies before authorizing treatment.
  • Shipped medication and completed or partly completed paid periods are ordinarily nonrefundable; medication returns are refused. Canceling future renewals does not itself recover a payment already processed.

The offer does not specify a funded panel, testing frequency, outside-lab charges or collection fees. Ask what your clinician orders and what the selected plan pays.

Pharmacy, labs and oversight

The pharmacy

Independent dispensing pharmacies are unnamed. Disclosures refer to traditional 503A compounding, which is a category rather than verification of an assigned facility. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved; obtain the pharmacy identity and exact formulation before fulfillment.

Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved products, and a 503A pharmacy compounds for a named patient while a 503B outsourcing facility manufactures in batches under CGMP. Neither is a quality guarantee on its own — a named facility is simply a fact you can check, and an unnamed “partner pharmacy network” is not. The honest cons

The part they would rather you skipped

FDA's September 2025 warning to MyStart Health LLC, CMS 714755, cited misleading claims presenting compounded semaglutide as generic Ozempic or equivalent in active ingredients and results. The letter concerns this company's marketing; it is not a contamination finding. No current closeout was established, and the letter alone does not establish today's enforcement status.

Does MyStart's $299 price cover every drug and dose?

It is an advertised starting bundle, not a drug-specific quote. Confirm the medication, formulation, dose, quantity and total commitment before paying. Four- and twelve-week supplies should not be assumed to equal calendar-month billing periods.

Does the price lock preserve my introductory discount?

No. The advertised promise protects the base plan amount, including dose increases, while excluding first-time discounts. Get the base rate and renewal charge in writing; a marketing promise does not verify a permanent invoice.

Are bloodwork and follow-up appointments included?

Necessary bloodwork and follow-ups are advertised included, but the exact tests, frequency and collection charges need confirmation. Clinical follow-up is recommended monthly until stable and then quarterly. The required three-month refill intake is a separate obligation.

Who treats me and fills the prescription?

MyStart Health LLC is the platform; independent provider groups and pharmacies handle treatment and dispensing. Their identities are not established by the public disclosures. The 503A description does not identify your pharmacy or make its compounded product FDA-approved. The advertised all-state network still requires individual eligibility and licensure checks.

How do I cancel, and will I get a refund?

Email support with CANCEL in the subject and obtain agent confirmation, or contact support by phone. No universal advance-notice deadline is published. Medical denial without prescribing or shipment can qualify for a refund. The written-prescription exclusion conflicts with the prefulfillment cancellation provision; confirm the applicable cutoff. Shipped orders and used paid periods generally remain final.

What did FDA's MyStart warning establish?

The September 2025 letter, CMS 714755, challenged misleading equivalence claims for compounded semaglutide, including its presentation as generic Ozempic. It did not establish contamination or FDA approval of a compounded product. No closeout was established in this review, so neither resolution nor continuing enforcement should be inferred.
