Joi and Blokes review

Names seven pharmacies in its Terms of Service — a real update on "unnamed"

Joi and Blokes runs parallel GLP-1 programs for women (Joi) and men (Blokes), billed quarterly with a mandatory 3-month minimum, confirmed live in its Terms of Service. Compounded semaglutide starts at $99 the first month, then $199/mo; compounded tirzepatide starts at $149, then $299/mo, both confirmed live. Its own ToS names seven pharmacy partners — Strive Pharmacy, Pharmacy Hub, Tailor Made Compounding, Cadre Labs, Empower Pharmacy, LillyDirect Self Pay Pharmacy Solutions, and Partell Pharmacy — an update on prior directory research, which had recorded none. A separate brand-name Zepbound program membership runs $99/mo, but that fee buys access and coaching only; the Zepbound vials themselves are billed separately through Lilly Direct at $349-$699/mo depending on dose, confirmed live.

Straight talk: how we earn — some, not all, of these are affiliate links; start a program through one and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Straight about the rest, too: the write-ups say what each provider is actually worth, and a commission does not change a word of them. Full disclosure here.

The verdict

Joi and Blokes discloses more than most on this list once you read past the homepage: seven named pharmacies in its Terms of Service, not the generic "licensed pharmacy network" language competitors use. But two things deserve real scrutiny. First, its refund policy states all sales are final — including subscription fees for the current period, confirmed live, even if a patient is later found ineligible mid-plan. Second, its "$99/mo Zepbound" membership reads like a drug-inclusive price but is actually a bare access fee; the medication itself is billed separately through Lilly Direct at $349 to $699/mo on top of that. Real transparency on the pharmacy side, real friction on the refund and Zepbound-pricing side.

Joi and Blokes is not ranked on any of our boards. This is a standalone read of what the company publishes about itself — the providers we do rank in this category are on our semaglutide provider ranking. Nothing on this page is a performance claim — see the evidence review for what these compounds do and do not do.

Who it is for, and who it is not

A good fit if

  • You want a named pharmacy list to independently verify, not a vague claim
  • You're interested in the integrated hormone-plus-GLP-1 angle (testosterone or perimenopausal protocols alongside weight loss)
  • You're comfortable committing to a 3-month minimum with no refund if you change your mind

Look elsewhere if

  • You want month-to-month billing without a quarterly minimum commitment
  • You're budgeting the Zepbound membership as a drug-inclusive price — the $349-$699/mo medication cost is separate
  • You want a refund option if you're later found ineligible after paying

What it actually costs

What they advertise

Compounded semaglutide: $99 the first month, confirmed live on joiandblokes.com.

What you actually pay, month to month

$199/mo ongoing for semaglutide, $299/mo ongoing for tirzepatide, both confirmed live, billed quarterly.

The commitment trap

The $99 first-month price is not the ongoing rate; semaglutide steps up to $199/mo and tirzepatide to $299/mo from month two, billed as a quarterly lump sum.

Money you will meet later

  • Zepbound vials are billed separately through Lilly Direct, $349-$699/mo, on top of the $99/mo program membership

Pharmacy, labs and oversight

Oversight

Licensed clinician consult, confirmed live. Unlimited health coach visits and clinician messaging, confirmed live.

Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved products, and a 503A pharmacy compounds for a named patient while a 503B outsourcing facility manufactures in batches under CGMP. Neither is a quality guarantee on its own — a named facility is simply a fact you can check, and an unnamed “partner pharmacy network” is not. Our guide to verifying a certificate of analysis covers what to ask for.

Where you can get it

All 50 states, though New York and New Jersey carry separate pricing and lab-diagnostics terms not itemized publicly, confirmed live.

The honest cons

The part they would rather you skipped

Joi and Blokes' refund policy states all sales are final, confirmed live in its Terms of Service — including your current period's subscription fee even if you're later found medically ineligible mid-plan, a harsher line than the "we'll work with you" language on the marketing pages might suggest.

  • All sales final, including if you're later found ineligible after paying
  • Mandatory 3-month quarterly billing commitment, not month-to-month
  • "$99/mo Zepbound" membership doesn't include the medication itself, which runs $349-$699/mo separately
  • NY/NJ pricing differs from the rest of the country, but the exact figures aren't published

None of this is unique to Joi and Blokes — the whole category shares it. What we hold against a provider is the part it hides, and the ways vendors hide things are catalogued in our vendor red-flags guide.

How it compares

Read this before you buy

A provider comparison is half the decision. The other half is whether the compound does anything for you at all — and whether it is allowed where you compete. Growth-hormone secretagogues are banned in tested sport, year-round, and a prescription does not change that.
