Empower Pharmacy serves patients with prescriptions from their own clinicians, as well as clinics and pharmacy partners. Medication prices require a prescription quote; this is a dispensing service rather than a bundled prescribing, lab and coaching plan. Confirm the facility preparing your medicine, its formulation and the full delivery bill, and consider the dated FDA findings separately from the company's current quality claims.

Money you will meet later
- The FAQ lists shipping at $15 two-day, $33 overnight or $41 refrigerated overnight, excluding Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico; those destinations are listed at $35, $50 and $58 respectively. Confirm the actual rate for your order.
- Empower says it does not accept insurance and accepts cash, major cards and HSA/FSA cards; ask your plan administrator about eligibility or reimbursement.
- Ask separately about prescriber visits, required patient labs, administration supplies and any clinic charges.

Pharmacy, labs and oversight
The pharmacy
503A pharmacy and separate 503B facility. Empower Clinic Services, LLC uses the Empower Pharmacy name at 7601 North Sam Houston Parkway West, Suite 100, Houston, and the Empower Pharma name for the 503B facility at 5980 West Sam Houston Parkway North, Suite 300. Ask which site prepared your medication; corporate branding alone does not identify the facility for a particular fill.
Oversight
Clinical follow-up remains with your prescriber. Empower can request refill authorization, but a clinician's response time can vary.
Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved products, and a 503A pharmacy compounds for a named patient while a 503B outsourcing facility manufactures in batches under CGMP. Neither is a quality guarantee on its own — a named facility is simply a fact you can check, and an unnamed “partner pharmacy network” is not. Where you can get it
Shipping depends on product and destination. The site advertises broad U.S. reach, but its office-use answers conflict over Mississippi and restrict California. These bulk 503B statements do not establish a blanket patient-prescription exclusion; confirm current shipment eligibility for the actual product and facility.
The honest cons
The part they would rather you skipped
FDA's September 2026 warning to the 503A pharmacy addresses essentially-copy semaglutide and tirzepatide production and sterile-process shortcomings. The history also includes April 2025 letters to the 503A and 503B sites and an October 2021 letter concerning the 503B facility. An October 2018 closeout concerns the 2017 case at an older location and does not resolve the later letters. These findings warrant questions about your actual dispenser; they do not establish the condition of every batch.
- Medication pricing and supplied quantity require an individual prescription quote.
- FDA findings must be read by date and facility; an older closeout does not settle later concerns.
- Office-use shipping answers conflict, so destination and product eligibility need confirmation.
- Ordinary medicine returns are excluded; limited return or credit exceptions require review.

Questions about Empower Pharmacy
Can a patient have a prescription filled directly by Empower?
Yes. Its patient pathway says to obtain a prescription from your own clinician and specify Empower as the pharmacy. The pharmacy discusses payment and delivery, with patient approval before filling unless otherwise specified. Home shipment or Houston pickup is available where eligible; Empower does not replace your prescribing clinician.
Why is there no fixed monthly medication price?
Empower requires a prescription to quote a compounded medication. Ask for the formulation, concentration, quantity, supply duration, administration materials and shipping charge. Prescriber visits, patient lab work and any clinic membership can be separate. No selected patient invoice or continuing medication price was established for this review.
Will Empower automatically refill and charge for my medicine?
The FAQ says no automatic refills. You can request a refill and the pharmacy can contact your prescriber for authorization; that response may take time. Confirm any fill already being prepared directly with the pharmacy. Stopping an Empower refill does not itself cancel a separate clinic subscription.
How do shipping and state restrictions work?
Compounding and processing happen before the selected transit service. Most orders are described as shipping within seven business days, with refrigerated overnight dispatch Monday through Thursday. The public office-use answers differ over Mississippi and restrict California; confirm your specific prescription and destination rather than treating those bulk-order rules as a patient coverage map.
Can I return medication or obtain a refund?
Empower ordinarily does not accept returned products, but its FAQ allows limited returns or credit after review. Contact the pharmacy or your account representative about an error, damaged delivery or refund request. Lost packages are investigated with the carrier, and replacement can depend on refill availability. No automatic cash refund or general satisfaction guarantee was established.
Does Empower's older FDA closeout settle the recent warnings?
No. The October 2018 closeout applies to the 2017 case involving an older location. It does not close the later October 2021, April 2025 or September 2026 matters. The recent letters involve distinct 503A pharmacy and 503B outsourcing operations, with the September 2026 letter directed to the 503A site. Ask which facility compounded and dispensed your medicine; a warning letter does not by itself prove every batch is defective.
