Consultation prices are clear; the medication bill is separate

The weight-care page lists a $195 initial visit, $159 follow-up or $249 initial-plus-follow-up package. Those prices buy consultations, not medication. Visits are self-pay, while a separately filled prescription may still qualify for insurance coverage.

The verdict

MEDVidi’s weight-care service is easier to compare as clinical appointments than as an all-inclusive medication program. Its public consultation page gives three choices: $195 initially, $159 for a follow-up, or $249 for the initial visit plus one follow-up. Medication costs extra, and a consultation does not guarantee a requested prescription. The broader platform emphasizes mental health, but it also publishes a dedicated weight-management service; that positioning alone is not a measure of care quality. The useful question is whether the clinician, local pharmacy and total treatment bill fit your needs. MEDVidi does not accept insurance for its appointments, but its medication information discusses pharmacy coverage and prior authorization, so the visit policy should not be read as a ban on using medication insurance. Provider names are public, yet the terms distinguish independent clinical professionals from the platform; a directory does not establish who will treat you. Cancellation has a concrete eight-hour cutoff, with additional fees for late changes or missed appointments. Check the pharmacy’s stock and acceptance of telehealth prescriptions before the visit, since a refusal to fill does not automatically refund it.

The commitment trap

A consultation charge buys clinical evaluation, not a guaranteed prescription or filled medication. No membership is advertised for the per-visit service, but repeat visits still add to the separate pharmacy cost.

Money you will meet later

  • The consultation package combines two visits rather than two months of medication. A complete public price for every GLP-1 dose, pharmacy supply and maintenance schedule is not established.
  • Visits are self-pay under the published insurance policy. Separately dispensed medication may be covered by a patient’s plan; the platform discusses prior-authorization assistance without promising approval or a particular copay.
  • The refund policy requires cancellation at least eight hours before an appointment for the ordinary full-refund route. Later cancellation or rescheduling can forfeit the visit refund and add a $50 fee; a missed visit can add $100.
  • A completed appointment is generally nonrefundable. Pharmacy refusal or lack of stock does not itself entitle the patient to a visit refund; support can help seek another pharmacy or clinician-approved alternative.
  • Ordinary eligible refund requests must be made within fifteen days of payment if no service was provided. Documented emergencies have a separate seventy-two-hour documentation window; approved refund posting can take additional bank time.
  • A separately linked weight-loss route leads to a public motivation screen before assessment. It does not establish a selected medication quote or show that the consultation-page fees cover every weight-loss pathway. Confirm which service and charge you are choosing.

Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved products, and a 503A pharmacy compounds for a named patient while a 503B outsourcing facility manufactures in batches under CGMP. Neither is a quality guarantee on its own — a named facility is simply a fact you can check, and an unnamed “partner pharmacy network” is not. The honest cons

The part they would rather you skipped

The exit rule is about an appointment, not stopping a medication subscription. Eight hours’ notice matters, and starting the visit generally ends the refund option even if no requested prescription is issued. The separate pharmacy can also decline or lack the medication without triggering a visit refund. Establish both clinical access and pharmacy affordability before treating the consultation fee as the cost of treatment.

  • Medication, supplies and delivery are separate from consultation fees.
  • Visits are self-pay, despite possible separate medication insurance coverage.
  • A prescription and successful pharmacy fill are not guaranteed.
  • Late cancellation and no-show fees can add to a forfeited appointment payment.

Questions about MEDVidi

What does MEDVidi’s $249 weight-care package buy?

The public consultation page includes the initial assessment and one follow-up. The visits cost $354 separately at $195 plus $159, so the stated saving is $105. It is not a two-month medication supply.

Can I use insurance for medication if visits are self-pay?

MEDVidi says it does not accept insurance for its visits. Its medication information separately discusses pharmacy coverage and prior authorization. Your plan may cover a prescribed drug, but approval and the actual out-of-pocket pharmacy bill are not guaranteed.

Does paying for a consultation guarantee a GLP-1 prescription?

No. A clinician reviews your history and decides whether medication is appropriate; a different treatment or no prescription may be recommended. The visit fee does not purchase a requested prescription.

How early must I cancel an appointment?

The ordinary full-refund route requires at least eight hours’ notice. Later cancellation or rescheduling can add $50 without refunding the visit; a no-show can add $100. Provider-side problems and documented emergencies have separate policy exceptions.

What if my pharmacy refuses or cannot fill the prescription?

The Care Team can help find a pharmacy or ask the clinician about an alternative. Pharmacy refusal or a stock shortage does not itself refund the consultation; check acceptance and stock before the visit.

Are labs, injection supplies and delivery included?

No universal laboratory allowance, injection kit or shipping benefit is specified in the consultation offer. Confirm any clinician-recommended testing and the separately filled medication package with the laboratory and pharmacy.
